Pablo Zotalis

Born the 22th of september of 1980, in Buenos Aires. Son of Demetrio Zotalis and Nora Solanot. Is the fourth o four brother´s. After Victoria, Paula y Federico.

The first step he takes are in Catalinas, wich is a neighbourhood near La Boca. But after a few year the family moves into what will became his childhood home.

In 1993 he start studying Painting with Pablo Márquez and Pablo García Aizenberg. After a few years Eduardo Márquez, the father of Pablo Márques, join the Atellier. And is from him that will learn most of the clasical painting technique.

In 1999 join into the Fine Arts School Prilidiano Pueyrredón.

In 2002 form part of the exhibition "Cadaver Exquisito" at the CCGSM (Centro Cultural General San Martín) along with Eva Dolard, Inés Chidid, Sonia Neuburger, Romina Charles y Jimena Salazar. [see works]

During those years he works as assistant of Cristina Dartiguelongue.

In 2003 he presents an individual show at the Ernesto Bianco of the CCGSM. Presents 16 pieceworks. From this series of works starts to develope his interest in the photographical image in every form. [see works]

After this experience hi will spend the next years studying the photographic laboratory technics. This experience is applied to develope directly into canvas. [see works]

Pablo Zotalis´s works are centered in the use of the image, in every form. Going from digital technics, mechanicals or handmade, as painting can be.
